Piano lessons are available for all students 5 years to 11.
The studio is located at Alexander Montessori School at 14850 SW 67 Ave, Palmetto Bay
Our program centers around the concept of "loving to play piano". In other words, a student plays songs they like to hear and play.
We have a huge collection of songs for young children and another collection for older students to listen and learn the pieces they like.
The beginners start out with "Thompsons" method book, and are trained to hold their hands/fingers correctly, read notes and comprehend fundamental music theory.
After 6 months of training and practice, in January, the students pick out 2 to 4 songs for their upcoming recital.
In June, we hold an Awards Concert for our pianists to perform at.
The students demonstrate their solo skills on piano or a keyboard for an audience of parents, family and friends.
There will at least 2 keyboards on stage and many children will play a duet with their teacher and receive a trophy for their accomplishments on piano.
Lessons are $40 half-hour, no charge for cancellation.
Mr. Falk, the teacher, studied with Flavio Varani (concert pianist) and Harold McKinney (jazz) in the 1970s at Oakland University, where he received his degree in music.
He is a professional performer that has played 5,000+ concerts, cruises and shows for audiences around world including a POTUS in 1996.
